So, it’s been raining the last few days weeks in Tirol and most of southern Europe. A LOT. Too much to be precise.* I’ve escaped to South Tyrol for a while, but only found just as much rain and low temperatures there. It’s been raining and raining, and the only good thing I can see is that it’s snowing up on the glacier and maybe, maybe we’ll be having a powder day up there in the upcoming weeks. If only the rain would stop. Around here in Innsbruck, it’s gotten so bad, that we had a avalanche come down on the 1st of June at Höttingalm, which is a 2hrs hike up the mountain from where I live (watch the video here).
Long story short: it’s fucking depressing.

*Fun aside, the situation is getting pretty dramatic in some parts of Austria and Bavaria. Some schools near Rosenheim will be closed tomorrow and a village in Tirol had to be evacuated. Let’s hope the rain will soon stop and things will calm down.
